Feelin' It | Street Art "Vanity Mirror"

This is by an artist named Contra. The idea is amazing, and the fact that it works, makes it all the more special. Watch and see.
"Here is my installation of a Gold Framed Mirror with engraved copper plaque titled ‘Vanity Point’. A playfully mocking piece that produced rather an ironic reaction."

LA Freewalls Project Part 3 | SABER "Pepper's World"

One of my all-time favorite artists and political activists, is SABER. Check out the latest addition to the “LA Freewalls” project in downtown Los Angeles. Saber’s new mural entitled “Pepper’s World” is on the corner of 7th St and Mateo St. It is one of the first large-scale outdoor pieces that Saber has created entirely with a brush. The painting took 6 days to create, and serves as the inspiration for his next print edition to be released soon, so keep your eyes open for that masterpiece. See more shots of the wicked detail and colors used in this great new mural, after the leap...

Nice Hand Cut Wood Canvas from Audrey Kawasaki

Here is a new piece from L.A. artist Audrey Kawasaki. The woman has a talent that is outright enviable, and style that is completely alluring. She sells out almost instantaneously, and in enormous numbers, something every artist wishes they had the power to do. This is entitled, "Plucked", it is oil and graphite on hand/laser-cut wood. It seems with real bass strings attached as well. It measures 40.5" x 29" and is part of the 'Who Killed The Music' group show. I would give my first born for an original of hers. Once again, nice work Audrey.

Musical Gold | Dilated Peoples "The Platform"

Dilated Peoples has always been one of my favorite groups, not because they live right down the street, but because they do their thing properly. This song has been one of my favorites since the second it dropped, way back when I was younger. Still loving it years later.
