Shell House

The ‘Shell House,’ located in the green woods of Karuizawa, in the Nagano region of Japan, may turn out to be the perfect destination. Designed by architect Kotaro Ide, the Shell house resembles the English alphabet “J” and floats 1400 mm above the ground. The terraces, together with the central courtyard of the main living areas, across the home are carved out of the Ulin wood. The aesthetic structure also comes fully loaded with all modern amenities.
