Aubrey Beardsley circa 1890

Aubrey Beardsley was the most controversial artist of the Art Nouveau era. His graphic art is still awe inspiring today. Beardsley was well known for illustrating Oscar Wilde's play Salomé. Think Mike Giant a century ago. Crazy! This work is entitled, Aubrey Beardsley, Of a Neophyte, and How the Black Art Was Revealed unto Him by the Fiend Asomuel, 1893.
