Murakami in Bilbao

Takashi Murakami has been transforming the city with his signature imagery. From February to May, more that 100 shop windows in Bilbao’s Old Town will be decorated with his famed flowers along with some of the public transport system. The hope is to draw businesses located in the city’s historic quarter closer to the Bilbao cultural scene and encourage residents and tourists alike to partake of this fantastic exhibition at the Guggenheim. Imagine an entire city packaged with Murakami’s renowned works. This is just another example of how influential Murakami’s visual branding is.
