ilium chair

Barcelona furniture designers damaris&marc combine wood and plastic in their new ilium chair concept. the chair has a very organic design that comes from the plastic shell’s bone like form. the seat is a singlemoulded piece of plastic that also features two front legs. wood feet are attached to the chair at the back, as is a wood backrest that joins the two sides of the plastic shell. the back rest features a series of slatsconnected along a single column, bearing a strong resemblance to a ribcage.
