Nokia Glock

Photoshop allows the world to create really bad but really good jokes. Here a Nokia cell phone and a Glock are combined in what is described on Strategy Page as "the First and Second Amendments combined." It's hilarious, it almost looks real, if you didn't know better you might think it was. The even sadder thing is i KNOW some people, and I wont name names, that would buy this is in a heartbeat if it actually existed.

Annie Lebovitz + Lavazza Italy

World-renowned Photographer Annie Lebovitz was commissioned by the Italian coffee brand, Lavazza to do their 2009 Calendar. It is shot is classic Italian style, using vivid backdrops and tricky perspective, Lebovitz brings the photographs to almost appear and feel, as if they were paintings.  By allowing the real studio background show through, it gives it an almost satirical effect. It reminds me of Banksy's reworking of classic paintings but with current cultural references, perhaps his work is that all-inspiring. I really like it. Its definitely worth a look...

Banksy's Holiday spirit

In the spirit of the holidays, Banksy, has put his own spin on yet another classic, Thomas the Tank Engine. The cartoon steam locomotive created by W. V. Awdry and made into the British children's television series Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends. This no-doubt influenced Banksy to use this childhood icon in a new a provocative way. The freight train graf aspect is shear genius. His skill and creativity are amazing.

Timeless Design

Designed by Gerrit T Rietveld back in 1935, the Utrecht is built around a steel frame with polyurethane foam and polyester padding combining to give the impression of a 'floating' chair, even though it's as solid as any chair on the market. Over 70 years old and still looking as unique as ever - the Cassina Utrecht armchair.

Lynch & Louboutin

Sometimes a collaboration can be better than the work by either artist, it can bring out the best in each or at the very least make their work more elaborate. The collabo between David Lynch and Christian Louboutin is a perfect example of all of these amazing end results.

Louboutin created some really insane shoes and Lynch photographed them in the insane collection they aptly entitled "Fetish". Many believe Louboutin's sexy red soles to be art in and of themselves (at least most woman I know), but he has taken his view of footwear to a new extreme making these shoes more "fetish art" than wearable. David Lynch incorporated his signature twisted, sexy style, shot images of women bound in Louboutin's insane creations..et Volé AMAZING

Just Cool

Usually its the outside of the house that is really cool but in this case there was something inside a house, more specifically under the stairs that really caught my eye. Instead of trying to use the space under the stairs as the most awkward closet in all of existence, a genius decided to put drawers each step on the stairs. Not only does it look cool, but its perfect when you can't figure out where too put your insane shoe collection..and you definitely have one, at least if you have been buying what we tell you to.

LEGO WORLD

Forget Lego land, artist Nathan Sawaya has created is own personal Lego world as well as some seriously kick ass sculptures that make some more conventional artists look like amateurs. Legos are a part of his every day life, his work place is full of them but not just in crates; everything from his computer to a bowl of fruit on the counter are a colorful burst of Legos. Some people would equate these building blocks as toys but most of the art that Sawaya creates it anything but childish. His roving exhibit "The Art of the Brick," may be coming to a town near you.

Worth a look: ART OF THE BRICK
