SURF | $1 Million Quiksilver Pro New York

Quicksilver and the ASP have announced that New York will be the 6th stop on the 2011 ASP World Tour. Long Island’s Long Beach will host the Quicksilver Pro New York from September 4-15 with the worlds best surfers competing for the million dollar purse. Now the East Coast isn’t known for its waves or cleanest water, but this is huge for the New York surf community to have the biggest pro surf event in the world right in its backyard. (via)
