Show Stopper | Porsche 911 GT3 R

This beast is the 2010 GT3 R, that replaces the previouis GT3 Cup S car, which was based on the LED-less pre 09' 997. This facelifted version of the 997 get a new top end race track beast too, so hence the GT3 R. It is wider, with more buldging fenders that don't hide its far-from subtle, race track setup.

"Technologically, the GT3 R is based on the GT3 Cup, which is a heavily reworked version of the street-legal GT3 RS. But the R has a bigger engine by 0.2 liter. Its 4.0-liter water-cooled flat-six makes 480 hp, 30 more than the 3.8-liter unit in the GT3 Cup. Power is transmitted through a sequential six-speed gearbox. Yep, that's one gear less than the dual-clutch transmission available on other 911 models, but this is an entirely different box intended strictly for racing." - C&D

Technology bits like electronis Rev-matching for the SMG gearbox, ABS brakes and even traction control. Porsche admits it wants to make it easier to drive for quote, "the ambitious amateur racing driver.” Specially built in Porsche's legendary Weissach R&D center, the 911 GT3 R comes in at a hefty €279,000 (about $415,000). The 23 Mile Free Fall | Red Bull "Stratos" Project

The mission, Red Bull Stratos, will take renowned skydiver Felix Baumgartner to at least 120,000 feet above the earth, to the very edge of Space. (That will be like experiencing 12 "average" skydives stacked one on top of the other, all in a row.) Felix will attempt a stratospheric free fall jump - the longest in the history of man - and hopefully will become the first human to break the speed of sound with his own body. Seriously fucking nuts.

This is a mission to overcome limits which have existed for almost fifty years, ever since the heroic achievement of the young US Air Force test pilot, Joe Kittinger, with his 1960 Excelsior mission. Many have challenged Joe's record, and all have failed, some even fell to their death. Red Bull Stratos will attempt to make history and deliver valuable learnings for medical and scientific advancement that will aid the exploration of space in future years.

Feelin' It | Bansky vs. Robbo Round 4

This one is a stinger missile right to the embassy doors. Banksy La Rat, is a huge pun on Banksy's controversial use of the french stencil master, Blek le Rat's rat image. Banksy may have actually begun his super-career by nicking the rat from Blek. Robbo knows this and he didn't foget the fact that Banksy may not have been as original as everyone may dream. My favorite part is they left the frog, which is one of the sloppiest pieces that Banksy has ever shown us. So why paint over that, its embarrassing enough the way he painted it to begin with, Robbo need not alter it at all to prove his point. Nice Team Robbo, very well done.
This one is great, very nicely reworked to serve Robbo's message. TOO bad he can't spell! Its definitely war from the view of Team Robbo, but Banksy's painting thousands of miles away in Utah seeming to not care one bit about his regent Canal pieces. And just like NOLIONS said, its not really that much fun to have beef when one side pretends not to care at all. (via)

The CUNA Bathtub | Carlo Colombo

Italian architect Carlo Colombo constructed the CUNA bathtub for Antonio Lupi. Lupi had this to say about the CUNA bathtub. "Created to stand in the middle of the bathroom as its absolute protagonist, the Cuna tub has a high, important backrest. Backrest inclination and height make this tub welcoming, comfortable and giving you total relaxation. FAST | Pagani C9

Pagani confirmed the Zonda-replacing C9 will be launched towards the end of 2010. It will feature a 6.0-liter V12 Mercedes-Benz AMG engine with 700 hp and 1000 Nm of torque, which means the C9 will be almost as powerful as the Zonda R (which churns out 750 hp and 710 Nm of torque). According to Horacio Pagani, the C9 "is a completely new car from concept, weight distribution, materials and dynamics." It will have 3770 new parts, a carbon-titanium chassis, specially developed Pirelli tires, and Bosch electronics. More importantly, the car will be able to meet U.S. crash safety standards and California's strict emission laws.
