For the first time in a while, Supreme has worked this season on some of their own footwear, rather than only depending on their collaborative footwear projects. The Supreme Canvas Shoe comes in 5 colorways and features a rubber sole. Is it something really special? No, for sure not, but we are pretty sure it was also not supposed to be. It’s a basic canvas sneaker, perfect for the summer months and the price is also good. The shoe is now available from Supreme stores and in their online store. These look a lot like a pair of shoes I rock all the time that cost me $10, but if anybody can pull it off it's Supreme. (via)

Only in Japan
Though this looks like some unholy cell phone shrine; in reality this is just one of the stores for Japanese electronics dealer Bic Camera. What takes the building design from mere gimmick to clever tech totem is the fact that each button on the cell phone correctly identifies what you can find on the corresponding floor. Like many things in Japan, this building is at once incredibly cool, and just a little scary. (via)

Zenvo ST1
The 1104 horsepower Zenvo ST1 is Denmark's first domestically produced supercar. Using a rear-mounted turbo- and super-charged 7.0-liter V8, Zenvo's engineers brought this car up over 1100 hp while producing an amazing 1430 Nm at around 4500 rpm. In just three seconds, you can bring the car from a standstill to 100 km/h. More photos of this BEAST after the jump (via)

Long Tall House

Spacespace designed this long tall house of five floors that occupies a narrow plot in Tokyo, Japan. With a name like Spacespace one would imagine they can maximize tight areas. Well they did an amazing job of exactly that. Privacy and light were put into space that you wouldn't expect them in. The two basement floors are build in concrete to resist soil pressure, while the three upper floors are made of wood for lightness and economy. The first floor has a bedroom, bathroom and parking. The second floor has a terrace, living room, dining room and kitchen. The house includes two buildings, one is like a long row house and the other one is like a tall tower. The south and north facades have a large translucent window and a aluminium wall which slide “up and down” manually by counter weigh mechanics. Many more photos after the jump.

Visionaire - Solar
Visionaire is a multi-format album of fashion and art produced in exclusive numbered limited editions. Published 3 times a year each issues features a different them and format. This time, they have collaborated with Calvin Klein and they´re bringing us a book that changes from black and white to full color when exposed to sunlight. It is a limited edition of 3,000 copies, featuring the work of artists like Peter Lindbergh, Glen Luchford, David Sims, Yoko Ono and Inez & Vinoodh. In artificial light the book is in simple black and white, and still very interesting. But in sunlight the colors appear, bringing the issue to life right in front of the readers/viewers eyes. The effect was achieved with photochromatic Plastisol inks. The ink is transparent, but the heat of the sun brings out its color, which becomes transparent again when the temperature lowers. The 3,000 copies will be distributed soon - you had better hurry if you want to get one of your own. More amazing photos after the jump.

Ya Boy & Tyga Got CRAZY FLOWS! West West
Que Sera Sera!
BEFORE:
AFTER:
Whatever will be will be! The instant creation and demise of a piece unravels in front of the artists eyes, and he rejoices. So amazing. Nicked from Elbowtoe's blog:
"I was fortunate enough to recently be interviewed for a Brazilian show dealing with the New York art scene. As part of the interview they wanted to go with me as I installed a piece. I visited a spot that I have been thinking about for quite some time, years in fact where I used to ride my bike and rollerblade. What was particularly meaningful about this location was that it fit the needs exactly for a more developed installation of work that I created over the past year. In particular there was a security light that I have been looking for for a while to install the Icarus piece against. The install went quite well, and I was very happy with the overall composition. We went and had lunch, toasted with a beer and came back only to witness the death of the installation..." (keep reading)
"...I have never had the opportunity to be witness to the demise of one of my works. I found it quite breathtaking. I can not say I was bummed, the wall was very nice and clean, and I had the feeling it would not last long. But it was just wild to see the entire life cycle compressed in such a short time. The best part is that the folks interviewing me went up to the maintainence guy and began to start questioning his actions.(via)

Under a Bridge in Kliptown
From Faith47 in Cape Town South Africa:
"with elections coming up the slogan. 'our dreams dont fit in your ballots' has been used as a slogan to say that a cross in a ballot box is not enough.
here the artists have given the space for passers by to say what they want within their art... i love it..."
What an amazing idea, artists are becoimng ever more entwined in the political movement at a grassroots level. Respect Faith.
